Due to bandwidth restrictions, the reality of Internet connectivity in South Africa has long been characterised by low-speed, unreliable connections at an exorbitant and fluctuating price. Now, technological advances and a new regulatory framework have enabled us to help launch the first true broadband wireless service offering, capable of delivering unrestricted, high-speed, portable, always on Internet access at an affordable monthly cost.

2.Technology

MyWireless portable broadband technology complies with international standards to provide a telecommunications platform for connecting to the Internet and other communications networks securely and at high-speed. This technology platform is capable of supporting transmission speeds of up to 3Mbps to a portable wireless modem or PC card. Regulated frequencies and a worldwide standard is used

3. The Equipment

All that's needed to enable MyWireless is a small freestanding modem 10cm tall by 8cm wide that connects to your computer via USB or an ethernet port. This is also available in the PC Card format for complete portability with your notebook computer. No telephone line is required nor is a technician needed to install the device. It takes full advantage of the Plug and Play functionality built into today's PCs.

A step-by-step Installation Guide is provided. The AC adaptor provides power to the modem when it is in a fixed location, recharging the internal battery at the same time. The unit also receives a trickle charge via the USB interface. An optional ethernet cable is available if required.

1. Please note that there is a once of charge of R3500 for the modem, R500.00 for activation and a R100.00 delivery fee. These amounts will be deducted immediately to the selected method of payment and are VAT inclusive.

3. A pro-rata interim service fee will be charged from activation date, to the first monthly service fee payment date.
